About Crafted Through Time

Traveling through time is an amazing experience. Usually, we do this by reading, visiting historic sites, and watching documentaries. One of the best ways to travel through history is to try some of the activities that were common for a particular era.  Crafted Through Time was created to revive rare or forgotten historical textile arts and to teach students to make them in modern ways.

About Me:

I was born with a love of textile arts, which was fostered by my mom and both grandmothers, who were amazing fiber artists. I started bobbin lace in 2010, after seeing it at a reenactment, and she started making buttons around the same time, while making reenacting clothes for family and friends.

I specialize in historical textile arts and enjoy passing on that knowledge to help keep the heritage crafts alive. Every summer, you can find her at French and Indian War reenactments teaching about lace, button history and a wide variety of textile arts.
